Dr Ana Avellón MD, PhD leads the hepatitis Unit of the National Center of Microbiology at Spain since 2010 having research lines in hepatitis virus including hepatitis E. She is also responsible of the start up activities of the European Reference Laboratory for performance verification of class D in vitro diagnosis devices, including hepatitis virus.
