Antonio Rivero-Juarez is a clinician-scientist at IMIBIC and the University Hospital Reina Sofía in Cordoba, Spain. He leads translational research on viral hepatitis and emerging zoonoses, integrating clinical cohorts, molecular diagnostics and One Health surveillance, with a particular focus on HEV and rat hepatitis E (Rocahepevirus ratti). He has coordinated competitive research projects and contributed to the development and transfer of diagnostic innovation. Antonio is the Main Proposer and Chair of the COST Action CA24140 ONWARD – One Health Zoonotic Hepevirus Network, and he is actively involved in European scientific societies and working groups in viral hepatitis.
